Week 4 Thing 9

I looked on Technorati, Topix and Google, I didn't really find a website that I would keep up with. On Technorati, I found a website talking about advertisement on the school buses as they are on the metro buses. http://www.edexcellence.net/flypaper/index.php/2008/12/re-the-wheels-on-the-buscarry-an-ad/

I found Technorati to be the easiest to use.

Week 4 Thing 8

I liked using google reader, it allowed me to go to 5 websites within a couple of seconds. It also allows me to get more accomplished in less time. I wish I had Google Reader back when I was in college, it may have eliminated some of the many hours of searching Internet sources. I chose, of course a music website, yahoo education word of the day, and CNN news. I chose two others but these three are websites that I really look forward to reading, they encourage a diverse thought process dealing with music, education, and world awareness.

Week 3 Thing 7

I am so happy I took this class. I can now eliminate my "middle man", Walgreens, who I am continuously paying for special orders for my favorite pics. I can now use flickr and motivator to decorate these pics and just take them to Walgreens and pay regular price for the printing of the pic. So I haven't completely eliminated the "middle man", but it won't cost as much to use him. I have an ancient digital camera that I am continuously using to create memories, and I think that this class will help to make the sharing of my memories more special.

I used motivator to create this frame, this is a pic from my cousin's recent graduation. I am continuously learning that I am not as technology smart as I thought I was! I can use this tool for many occasions, I am usually labeled the unoffical photographer because I love taking pics.

Week 3 Thing 5

My first love is music and I was playing around with flickr and one of my all time favorite singers is John Legend. So I decided to search for pics of him. I just happened to go to this concert, which occured during the Houston Livestock Show.

Week 2 Thing 3 & 4

I had fun attempting to choose a layout and I especially had fun creating my avatar. I choose a look that I won'twear to work, not because of professionalism , but comfort. I think my avatar represents my personality well. I chose a classroom as the background because if you know me or work with me, I spend alot of time in there.

Week 1 Thing 1&2

Its amazing how I thought I was so technology "savvy" with telecommunication, but starting this class has shown me how I am still quite challenged in this area. I started to not take this class, but this may be an interesting journey after all.
